I love to observe and guide children to learn in a carefully prepared Montessori environment. It is so exciting to see them learn from one another as well as from the materials. Children have such a unique perspective on everything in life; it is a constant environment of discovery for me as well.

I studied Early Childhood Education at Central Washington State after graduating High school from the Seattle Area in 1975. The Montessori philosophy inspired me to take

the training and change my major to Psychology with a minor in Spanish.

Traveling has always been a big part of my life and I have been very fortunate to travel to several countries including Canada, England, France, Japan, Australia and Mexico where I studied and lived.

My hobbies include gardening, bike riding, and photography. I love nature and being outdoors.

I like working with children because they are the best people I know. They help me see the world in a new and different way each day. Their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge knows no bounds.

Early on I worked in traditional education as a 1st and 3rd grade teacher. Later I moved to England where I lived and worked in the fashion industry for four years. While there I

was able to travel to Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Amsterdam, Lebanon, Greece and parts of Africa.

On my return to the U.S. I traveled and worked from Georgia to Michigan, California and finally Texas. Finding the fashion industry unfulfilling I looked to my first love, teaching. Montessori was the answer. Teaching became my life.

I like to walk, read, and do arts and crafts.
