I love to observe and guide children to learn in a carefully prepared Montessori environment. It is
so exciting to see them learn from one another as well as from the materials. Children have such a
unique perspective on everything in life; it is a constant environment of discovery for me as well.
I studied Early Childhood Education at Central Washington State after graduating High school from
the Seattle Area in 1975. The Montessori philosophy inspired me to take

|
the training and change my
major to Psychology with a minor in Spanish.
Traveling has always been a big part of my life and I have been very fortunate to travel to several countries including Canada, England, France, Japan, Australia and Mexico where I studied and lived.
My hobbies include gardening, bike riding, and photography. I love nature and being outdoors.

I like working with children because they are the best people I know. They help me see the world in a new
and different way each day. Their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge knows no bounds.
Early on I worked in traditional education as a 1st and 3rd grade teacher. Later I moved to England where
I lived and worked in the fashion industry for four years. While there I
|
|
was able to travel to Scotland,
Wales, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Amsterdam, Lebanon, Greece and parts of Africa.
On my return to the U.S. I traveled and worked from Georgia to Michigan, California and finally Texas. Finding the fashion industry unfulfilling I looked to my first love, teaching. Montessori was the answer. Teaching became my life.
I like to walk, read, and do arts and crafts.
